Smithsonian Learning Lab
Discover, Create, Share
At Smithsonian Affiliations, one of the ways in which we reach our Affiliate communities with digital educational resources is through the Smithsonian Learning Lab.
The Smithsonian Office of Educational Technology created the Smithsonian Learning Lab to inspire the discovery and creative use of its rich digital materials—millions of images, recordings, and texts.
By encouraging users to create and share personalized collections of Smithsonian assets and user-generated resources, the Learning Lab aspires to build a global community of learners who are passionate about adding to and bringing to light new knowledge, ideas, and insight.
Contact your National Outreach Manager if you are interested in learning more about possible Learning Lab workshops at your Affiliate organization. For K-12 classrooms, afterschool programs, and everywhere learning takes place—formally and informally—the Smithsonian Learning Lab workshops connect local teachers with Affiliate resources as well as millions of multimedia resources in the Smithsonian collections.
