Smithsonian Affiliations and the Smithsonian Latino Center have partnered with the Museo y Centro de Estudios Humanísticos (MCEH) at the Universidad del Turabo, a Smithsonian Affiliate, to present Dialogues across the Puerto Rican and Caribbean Diaspora: Second Academic Encounter Symposium in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, November 15-16, 2018. (8:30 a.m. EST).

Two additional Smithsonian Affiliates will join the online discussion—Framingham State University, Framingham, MA, and the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures, San Antonio, TX.

The webcast will bring together U.S., Caribbean, and Puerto Rican scholars to engage in exchanges about migration, music, art, literature, education, history, and diasporic experiences.
