Smithsonian Learning Lab
The Smithsonian Learning Lab, created and managed by the Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access (SCLDA), is a free, interactive platform for discovering millions of authentic digital museum resources (images, texts, recordings, and more), creating interactive learning experiences with online tools, and sharing in the Smithsonian’s expansive learning community.
Affiliates may use the Smithsonian Learning Lab to develop new learning experiences, using digital assets from their own organization, for educators and students to discover, adapt, and use.
For an introduction to using the Learning Lab, download the new Getting Started Guide here.
How can Affiliates collaborate with us?
Presence on the Smithsonian Learning Lab
We are excited to discuss ways Affiliate sites might use the Smithsonian Learning Lab to contribute to larger, national stories and help their audiences discover and use their organization’s digital assets for learning. Contact us to learn more about how Affiliate sites are already using the Learning Lab, opportunities to collaborate on programming, or scheduling training on uploading digital assets, creating new learning experiences, and sharing creations with your audiences.
SCLDA is developing programming to collaborate with national partners, such as working with local teachers to teach Ethnic and Area Studies, and partnering with Re-Imagining Migration to create multi-disciplinary content that teaches about human migration as our shared human experience and supports inclusion.
