Solidarity Now! 1968 Poor People's Campaign
The new traveling exhibition Solidarity Now! 1968 Poor People's Campaign will explore one of the most important grassroots movements of the the civil rights era: the Poor People’s Campaign of 1968. Based on the original exhibition created by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the exhibition will investigate the factors that made this movement a success: the ideas, the emotions, the people, and the place--Resurrection City. Solidarity Now! 1968 Poor People's Campaign will create a link between historic and contemporary social justice movements across the country. Visitors will experience a moving combination of photographs, objects, and graphics in addition to a video interactive with interviews of campaign participants, a 3D-printed model of Resurrection City, and a map of the nationwide caravan routes.
