The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex educates visitors about U. S. space history and promotes the continued exploration of space. Visitors can try out the shuttle Launch Experience, interact with astronauts, view films and live shows in its IMAX theater, and enjoy hands-on activities and tours. Through its affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution, the Center has over 55 objects of space history on long-term loan from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
