The Yankee Air Museum’s exhibitions and programs feature aviation, military, and home front history. A local history spotlight is the Willow Run B-24 Bomber Plant. In 1941, the Ford Motor Company built the Willow Run Airport to serve as an airfield for their B-24 Bomber Plant, using Ford’s automotive mass production technique, then a leading innovation. The museum’s aircraft collection ranges from World War I to the Vietnam era. Visitors also have the opportunity to fly a quadcopter in the FlyZone.
