The York County Culture & Heritage Museums encompass a family of museums in York County, South Carolina, including Historic Brattonsville, Main Street Children's Museum, McCelvey Center, and Museum of York County. The Museum of York County developed its Naturalist Center in consultation with Smithsonian staff, modeling it after the National Museum of Natural History's Naturalist Center. The same museum has participated in the Youth Capture the Colorful Cosmos program led by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, which trained professionals to facilitate and encourage use of the MicroObservatory online telescope system. A meteorite on loan from the Smithsonian’s National Meteorite Collection, has also been displayed at the museum.
