Affiliate Profile
The Western Science Center is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of archaeological and paleontological fossils. The Center provides a repository for over 1,000,000 archaeological objects uncovered locally, and it utilizes these collections in its extensive educational programming. Western Science Center's staff has collaborated with the Smithsonian Institution on a number of educational projects, including—most recently—Youth Capture the Colorful Cosmos, a Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) program that taught science and technology skills to students.
