Affiliate Profile
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) provides an inspiring and entertaining experience for learning about space science and aviation. USSRC houses the Saturn V rocket and other important artifacts, on loan from the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. As a Smithsonian Affiliate, it has participated in Youth Capture the Colorful Cosmos, a Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) program, and in the 2015 Museum Day Live! event, which brought an unprecedented crowd of over 4000 visitors. In addition, it has hosted the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Black Wings: American Dreams of Flight as well as talks by Smithsonian scholars.
