The Museum of Us is a place for the diverse stories that define all of us, especially those that have been overlooked or silenced by dominant cultural narratives. The Museum of Us is a cultural anthropology museum located in San Diego’s Balboa Park on the unceded territory and ancestral homeland of the Kumeyaay Nation, the Indigenous Peoples of the region. The Museum’s relationship with the Smithsonian Institution dates back to the Panama-California Exposition in 1915. The Museum became a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2010.
