Housed in a historic structure built for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935–1936, the San Diego Air and Space Museum preserves significant artifacts of air and space history and technology. The museum’s public programs and interactive exhibitions focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) educational goals. In addition, it currently hosts a number of space program artifacts on loan from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, including an Apollo 9 command module.
