For more than 30 years, the Littleton Museum has served as the primary repository for the history, art, and culture of Littleton, Colorado. Located on 39 acres, the museum includes two living history farms—one representing the 1860s and one representing the 1890s. Together they demonstrate how people lived and worked during the early period of Littleton and South Platte Valley. There are also collections center and exhibition halls on site. Littleton Museum is a frequent venue of Smithsonian traveling exhibitions. In addition, it hosts Smithsonian scholars to discuss a broad range of subjects, including artifact conservation.
