Affiliate Profile
The Institute of Texan Cultures (ITC) gives voice to the experiences of people from across the globe who call Texas home. It serves at the state’s center for multicultural education, presenting the stories of immigrants who settled in Texas and contributed to the economic growth of the state. An Affiliated since 2010, ITC has hosted traveling exhibits and Youth Summits, and is an active participant in the Smithsonian’s “Latinos in Baseball” project. In 2016 ITC opened Sikhs: Legacy of the Punjab, an exhibition developed by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
