The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is home to more than 150,000 historical and scientific objects with an emphasis on Texas and the Southwest. The substantial science collection consists of catalogued specimens that represent the disciplines of botany, entomology, zoology, geology, and more. The history collection encompasses items ranging from pre-historic artifacts to worldwide objects from the late 1800s to the present. The interactive exhibitions and programs champion informal, discovery-based learning. As a Smithsonian Affiliate, the museum has hosted Smithsonian scholars and traveling exhibitions.
