As the public library of the City of Cerritos, the Cerritos Library is unique in that it offers an immersive environment, promoting learning and literacy. The Children’s Library section includes a theater, an art studio, and an aquarium. The reading rooms introduce themes like Old World and others. This innovation and creativity support the library's educational missions. A Smithsonian Affiliate since 2000, the library has hosted lectures and book signings by Smithsonian authors and has displayed Smithsonian artifacts within its exhibitions.
