The Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture works to create a better understanding of the global environment while caring for the Washington State Collections of natural and cultural heritage. The museum has collaborated with the Smithsonian for a number of years, sharing expertise and hosting collections and traveling exhibitions developed by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and the Natural Museum of Natural History.
