The Arab American National Museum recognizes Arab Americans’ contributions to the economic, political, and cultural landscape of the United States by bringing their voices and faces of to mainstream audiences and illuminating the shared experiences of immigrants. The museum has hosted Grammy-winning Smithsonian Folkways artist Rahim Alhaj. In addition, it has served as a host venue for events of the National Youth Summit, an ongoing collaboration between the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the National Endowment for the Humanities, PBS, and other museums in the Smithsonian Affiliations network.
