Anniston Museum of Natural History houses an excellent array of the nature of Alabama, a state with highly diverse geology—ranging from the Coastal Plain to the ancient crystalline rocks of the Valley and Ridge province east of the Appalachian Plateaus. Equally diverse is the state’s biology. The museum exhibitions feature the varied geology and myriad ecosystems found in Alabama.
