Affiliate Profile
The Telluride Historical Museum preserves and brings to life the rich history of Telluride. Its permanent collection comprises artifacts from the region’s Ute heritage, mining history, and ski and festival tradition. In addition, visitors can explore the past and present of the high country by joining a Telluride Historic Walking Tour, attending a Fireside Chat Lecture, or taking a Hike (or Ski) into History Tour. It has participated in Places of Invention—a project of the Smithsonian Lemelson Center featuring communities across the United States, where people took risks and solved problems in pursuit of something new.
