Smithsonian Learning Lab

Discover, Create, Share

At Smithsonian Affiliations, our mission is to share the Smithsonian’s vast resources with Americans in their own communities and inspire lifelong discovery for learners of all ages. One of the ways in which we reach our Affiliate communities is through Smithsonian Learning Lab workshops—both in-person and online.

For K-12 classrooms, afterschool programs, and everywhere learning takes place—formally and informally—the Smithsonian Learning Lab workshops connect local teachers with Affiliate resources as well as millions of multimedia resources in the Smithsonian collections.

See below for blogs from Smithsonian Learning Lab workshops in Austin, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and Lowell, Massachusetts.
