Artis-Naples/The Baker Museum serves as a resource center for the Arts in Southwest, FL. With an emphasis in American modern art in the period 1908-1955, The Baker Museum's collections include works of the Steiglitz group, Precisionism, American Abstract Artists and American Artists' Congress, the Hilla Rebay Circle, The Irascibles and the early New York School, and the American Scene. The Museum's largest and most important single collection is the American Modernist collection donated by Ahmet Ertegun, founding chairman of Atlantic Records. Home to the Naples Philharmonic, Artis-Naples also presents performing arts programs like Broadway musicals and classical music concerts. It has collaborated with the Smithsonian in the past to host the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and exhibitions like the Duchamp Family of Artists by the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
