Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum

The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, founded in 1997, presents Seminole history to a national audience.  Located on the Big Cypress Reservation, the Museum houses over 11,000 objects related to Seminole and southeastern history and culture.  Highlights of the collections include a series of original oil paintings by Guy Labree based upon the book, "Seminole Legends;" sweet grass baskets, photographs, portraits, clothing, oral histories, and postcards, dating from the 1800s to the 1950s. The Museum also exhibits objects on loan from the Smithsonian Institution.
