The Lizzadro Museum’s exhibitions focus on antique and modern gemstone treasures, as well as earth science. It collaborated with Smithsonian curators to bring together the 2014 exhibition Modern Designer Jewelry from the Smithsonian. The exhibition featured pieces created by award-winning designers between 1960 and 2010 on loan from the gem vault of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. In addition, the museum has hosted Smithsonian gemologists as guest speakers.
