The International Museum of the Horse presents the history and impact of the relationship between humans and horses throughout civilization.  Collections include over 16,000 objects and photographs and the archives of Mary Jane Gallaher, Mary Littauer, and the Purebred Arabian Trust, with over 8,000 books and 500 rare volumes available for education and scholarly research.  The Museum has the skeleton of Lexington, one of America's most famous race horses and sire of champions, previously exhibited in the "On Time" exhibition at the National Museum of American History, on long term loan from the Smithsonian Institution.
